I attended the Cinequest Film Festival and Storytelling Celebration for writers in San Jose last March. and enjoyed visiting San Jose (a wonderful experience!), as well as returning to the neighborhood that inspired the Eucalyptus Lane series in nearby Palo Alto. See slideshow below for snapshots.

Pics from last year’s 29 Palms Book Festival in the southern California desert next to Johua Tree and 40 miles from Palm Springs. Such a beautiful place! The festival had panels on all kinds of writing (including crime fiction—I was on that one!), music, poetry and many other topics. Indie publisher Starlite Pulp hosted a reading at 29 Palms Cemetery. This year’s fest will take place Nov. 5-7.
